Tactical-Lifestyle is a lifestyle of living Made Ready and Made Safe (like putting a GO Bag in your car and avoiding privicy invasive services - good luck with that....change you luck here). Open / Free Source is a development methodology. (Like open-source licenses for computer software which allows the source code to be copied, modified, and shared freely.) If you own it - it's yours to do with as you wish... RIGHT? How about your phone? This is legal by natural law (the one that matters) and without any corporation or government meddlement. (Not against corporations, ownership, profit, or governments just their dictation of use by the end user/owner and tech's development).
It is free as in liberty; NOT cost-free (For instance, Adobe flash player is a freeware but is by no means free software.) So we are a DIY Opensource Community for the development of SHTF ready hardware and software. Shit Hits The Fan (yes its a real thing and term). IT IS NOT A DOOMS DAY PREPPER GROUP. SHTF happens all over the world every day. May not be action movie material but there are things that can disrupt our every day and destroy. Save a life just because you have your pistol or; maybe someone pregnant on the train is faint and cuz you have water she goes home not to the hospital. In the USA and other parts of the world (less than most in North America would think)... Our way of life is so very fragile. That fragility is growing with tech - intentionally! In the US we pretend to be a democracy (its a republic). We give away freedoms in the name of false safety and convenience while tightening the size of our box that must be fit into in-order to operate in society. (Try being private... now take a Uber. Well you must have a plastic money, reveal your CURRENT position - even if irrelevant, and have a phone... I mean smart phone... Which is the most unprivate thing you own*.) *WANNA BET? |
Open vs free sOuRce:
Free as in liberty not "monetarily free". "Roughly, it means that the users have the freedom to run, copy, distribute, study, change, and improve the software." "Open source is a development methodology; free software is a social movement." - Richard Stallman
